Wolf Creek Bridge @ State Route 9-Cocke County
IMPORTANT NOTICE
The Wolf Creek Bridge was closed to traffic on Tuesday, April 10, 2012. It is anticipated that the bridge will be reopened in March of 2014.
Project Description
This project involves the rehabilitation of the Wolf Creek Bridge on State Route 9 in Cocke County, Tennessee.
Due to age related deterioration, the Wolf Creek Bridge will undergo major rehabilitation. The Tennessee Department of Transportation has determined that the bridge should be repaired rather than replaced because of its eligibility for listing on the National Register of Historic Places.
The rehabilitation project will involve complete removal of the bridge deck and the spandrel columns. The existing piers will remain in place. The spandrel arches will undergo repair work as needed but will retain their existing appearance.

A detour will be required for the duration of the bridge repair project.
