Resource Team Meetings:
The Shelby Farms Parkway Advisory Team (SFPAT) was formed to act as a collective body representing opinions of both experts and public stakeholders. The Team’s integration throughout the project’s development falls under a concept known as Context Sensitive Solutions (CSS). CSS places emphasis on affected parties and acknowledges their contributions to the process. Eight team meetings were held between April 28, 2005 and July 31, 2008. The team established goals and recommendations for the proposed parkway; many of those ideas influenced the outcome of the Selected Alternative.
All of the materials presented at the September 24, 2013 hearing and the hearing summary are provided at the links below:
Two public meetings (March 24, 2005 and November 15, 2005) and one public hearing (December 13, 2007) were held for the project. The purpose of the public hearing was to allow the public the opportunity to review the DSEIS, which was approved on October 18, 2007, and to ask questions or make comments. Comments and questions from the public hearing are summarized and answered in Section V.E. of the SFEIS.
