Proposed Kirby Parkway

From Walnut Grove Road to Macon Road Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee

Project Description

The city of Memphis, in conjunction with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT), is proposing to construct the 2.5-mile Kirby Parkway from Walnut Grove Road to the intersection of Whitten and Macon Roads in Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee. The new road design consists of a four-lane, median-divided, access-controlled parkway.

A Public Hearing was held for this project on September 24, 2013. The materials presented at the hearing are available for your information. The Public Hearing Summary contains a summary of the hearing, a summary of the comments received during the comment period (through October 15, 2013) and a disposition to the comments received.
