The Human Resources Division provides personnel management, information, and support services in the area of employee training and development, employment transactions, classification and compensation to approximately 3,800 TDOT employees. The HR Division provides appropriate guidance and oversight to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal employment laws, rules and regulation.
The Human Resources Division provides the day-to-day human resources management for the department’s almost 3,900 employees. HR responsibilities include employment processes, employee training activities, employee counseling assistance, drug and alcohol testing, employee relations activities, classification-compensation issues, recruiting efforts and retirement counseling.
