I-40 Exit 407 Diverging Diamond Interchange Project

Project Description

The work consists of grading, drainage, rehabilitation of a concrete cast-in-place bridge, and paving on I-40 at the State Route 66 interchange (Exit 407). The majority of the work will start with the construction (widening and lengthening of the Exit 407 ramps). Asbestos was discovered in the bridge paint. A Change Order is expected to address this added asbestos removal work and additional time.

  • This project was awarded to J & M Grading Division LLC for $15,647,551.60.
  • Work started on March 12, 2014.
  • The contract completion date is July 14, 2015.
